What is a 10-band equalizer?▾
A 10-band graphic EQ splits the audio into ten frequency ranges, from deep bass (31 Hz) to high treble (16 kHz). Each fader boosts or cuts its band, giving you precise, professional control over the tone of a track.
Does the preview really apply the EQ live?▾
Yes. While the song plays, the equalizer runs in real time through the Web Audio API, so every fader move or preset is audible immediately — there is no need to re-render just to hear it.
How should I set the bands for more bass or clearer vocals?▾
For more bass, gently raise the lowest two or three bands. For clearer vocals, lift the middle and upper-middle bands a little. Try a preset like Bass Boost or Vocal first, then adjust to taste.
Why is it better to cut than to boost too much?▾
Big boosts can cause distortion and make a mix muddy. Often the cleanest fix is to lower the band that sounds bad rather than push everything else up — your ears hear the same improvement with less risk of clipping.
